Abstract
⺠Nanoporous membranes exhibit permeation rates for molecules larger than rated MWCO. ⺠Membrane architecture plays as an important factor as pore size with respect to MWCO. ⺠Alumina membranes (4-6 nm pores) exhibit best properties with respect to rated MWCO. ⺠The viscous matrix of the affinity assay prevents the efflux of assay components. ⺠Non-ideal osmotic behaviour increase specific sensitivity in the measurement range.
