Abstract
⺠3-Component mixed matrix membrane is formed by inorganic porous particles, RTIL and polymerizable ionic liquid. ⺠Sufficient RTIL coats the SAPO-34 particle surface and compatibilizes them with the styrene-based poly(RTIL) matrix, creating a selective layer around the SAPO-34 particles. ⺠Increasing the RTIL loading, with a fixed SAPO-34 loading, results in an overall enhancement in permeability due to higher gas diffusivity through the polymer matrix. ⺠RTIL plasticizes the polymer matrix, allowing the polymer chain to better interact with the zeolite particle surface.
