Abstract
ⶠHydrophilic monomer N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (NVP) was successfully grafted on the polypropylene non-woven fabric (PP-NWF) membrane surfaces by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) method. ⶠThe NWF membrane became more hydrophilic after the introduction of PNVP. ⶠPermeation experiments of water and supernatant solution of active sludge showed enhanced antifouling property of modified membranes. ⶠThe modified membranes can effectively restrain the adhesion of bacteria.
