Abstract
⺠We use natural CO2 seeps to identify if seagrasses could mitigate leakage from CCS activities. ⺠Seagrass productivity and abundance increased with increasing CO2. ⺠Importantly, belowground biomass increased fivefold, increasing the carbon storage potential.
