Abstract
► Intertidal meiofauna in Cadiz Bay were dominated by nematodes in all seasons. ► Macroalgae bloom increased further the dominance of nematodes. ► Community changes were related to higher input of macroalgal detritus to the sediment. ► Meiofaunal abundance and taxonomic composition seem to be bottom-up controlled.
