Abstract
⺠Despite its EU-wide ban atrazine was frequently detected in the Aegean Sea. ⺠A concentration gradient from East to West was observed in the Aegean Sea. ⺠The highest concentrations were detected in the Dardanelles and Istanbul. ⺠Low detection frequencies in the Baltic Sea and the Northern Atlantic Sea. ⺠High detection frequency of terbuthylazine in the Northern Atlantic raises concern.
