Abstract
⺠We used the emetic ipecac to study plastic ingestion in Leach's Storm-petrels in Newfoundland, Canada. ⺠48% of birds contained plastic, ranging from 0 to 17 pieces. ⺠Plastic ingestion has increased in this species in the northwest Atlantic. ⺠Ipecac is a useful tool for monitoring plastic ingestion in live birds.
