Abstract
► Organochlorine pesticides and PCBs were analysed in a subtropical estuary. ► The concentrations detected were low and comparable to remote/pristine areas. ► The sources of organochlorine compounds (OCs) were mainly related to fluvial input. ► The OC levels detected may represent the background levels for Guaratuba Bay.
