Abstract
⺠This is the first chemometric analysis of WQ data of Kinta River (Malaysia). ⺠The study represents application of chemometric data mining techniques to WQ assessment. ⺠Kinta River WQ is controlled mainly by weathering, soil erosion, and surface runoff. ⺠HACA classified the eight monitoring locations into low and high pollution areas. ⺠Chemometric techniques are suitable tools for water quality assessment.
