Abstract
⺠IHg and TBT are the principal mercury and butyltin species transported into the Bach Dang Estuary. ⺠MMHg and TBT are respectively methylated and degraded in the estuary during the dry season. ⺠The estuary appears as an important source of IHg and TBT to the coastal area during the wet season. ⺠During the wet season, TBT concentrations could present a significant environmental risk.
