Abstract
⺠Phytoplankton cultures were placed in a rich medium after UV-C irradiation. ⺠Flow cytometry and PAM were used for determining cell viability. ⺠The behavior differs from that of cultures kept in their original environment. ⺠Chlorella autotrophica recovers between 5 and 10 days after the treatment. ⺠Phaeocystis globosa shows only a slight recovery for low-dose UV-radiation exposure.
