Abstract
⺠We evaluated ingestion of plastic debris by longnose lancetfish (Alepisaurus ferox). ⺠We quantified the amount and type of plastic marine debris ingested. ⺠24% of A. ferox ingested plastic marine debris. ⺠Plastic fragments were the dominant type of debris ingested followed by rope. ⺠No relation was found among size of debris ingested and A. ferox morphometrics.
