Abstract
⺠We review research relevant to the catchment to GBR continuum. ⺠Pollutant sources, and the fate and effects of these in the marine environment are summarised. ⺠We evaluate the appropriateness of current management responses to GBR water quality. ⺠Management responses range from incentive-based voluntary management to regulation.
