Abstract
ⶠ60 wt% ZSM-5/PDMS mixed matrix membranes prepared. ⶠDrastic performance reduction for pervaporation of ethanol from fermentation broths. ⶠSorption of fatty acids inactivates zeolite component. ⶠPretreatment by solvent extraction is effective, but probably not cost-effective.
