Abstract
⺠Analysis of the eutrophication status of Baltic Sea Protected Areas. ⺠Application of the HELCOM Eutrophication Assessment Tool (HEAT). ⺠Use of modelled data on atmospheric nitrogen deposition (EMEP data). ⺠Both datasets provide comparable first eutrophication estimates on a broad scale. ⺠Further assessments and empirical data needed e.g. to develop management strategies.
