Abstract
⺠Microalgal irreversible growth inhibition test compared compounds effectiveness. ⺠Growth, biomass and Chl a content of diatoms inhibited by the tested compounds. ⺠EC50 of biocides in increasing order was Diuron > Tolylfluanid > Copper thiocyanate. ⺠Most efficient was ethanol fraction of S. muticum and C. botryocarpum extracts. ⺠F. pinnata was the most inhibited species by all the tested compounds.
