Abstract
⺠We evaluate marine debris impacts to a North Carolina salt marsh. ⺠We examine changes in shoot density and height resulting from debris accumulation. ⺠Immediate and sustained impacts occur from vehicle tires. ⺠Impacts from crab pots are less abrupt with short-term recovery. ⺠Cleanup programs should target sensitive habitats and record associated habitat data.
