Abstract
⺠A biomonitoring technique is introduced using metal concentration in kelp STS. ⺠STS metals had highest concentrations in populations from the Port of Los Angeles. ⺠Spatial gradients in STS metals were seen with distance from point sources. ⺠Study demonstrates kelp STS is useful in describing metal pollution within rocky reefs.
