Abstract

âº Vegetated habitat contained distinct bacterial communities. âº Variation in bacterial composition with depth differed between plant species. âº There is evidence of an effect of mercury concentration on bacterial composition. âº Depth and sampling depth explained almost 70% of the variation in bacterial composition.
