Abstract
► PFOS sorption to sediments in seawater was relatively strong and nonlinear. ► An increase rate in log Kd per log unit salinity of 0.48 ± 0.03 was estimated. ► Dissolved Ca2+ and Mg2+ could dominantly account for the increased PFOS sorption.
