Abstract
⺠Plastic fragments from the open ocean and remote and urban beaches were analyzed. ⺠PCBs, PAHs, DDTs, PBDEs, NP, BPA concentrations ranges from 1 to 10,000 ng/g. ⺠Concentrations showed large piece-to-piece variability. ⺠Hydrophobic organic compounds were sorbed from seawater. ⺠NP, BPA, and PBDEs came mainly from additives and were detected even in open ocean.
