Abstract
⺠Blood Al, Pb, Cd and Sn are higher than values reported for manatees and for other mammals. ⺠Blood Pb, Cd and Sn in manatees kept in Paraiba indicate possible toxicological effects. ⺠Inhibition of blood butyrylcholinesterase in manatees indicate exposure to insecticides.
