Abstract
► We provide baseline information on PBDE and PCB levels in Southeastern Brazil. ► Few studies have investigated PBDE specific accumulation profiles in Brazil. ► High PCB levels found in fish and dolphins suggest a source of pollution in Brazil. ► PBDEs levels were similar to some previous reports in developed countries. ► Concerns have been raised over PCB exposure risks to local population.
