Abstract
⺠A new statistical information-theory based entropy analysis of droplets has been proposed. ⺠Entropy analysis was applied to group multi-modal droplet-size spectra into different groups. ⺠A generalized linear model was applied to identify factors controlling droplet-size spectra. ⺠Each group of spectra was corresponding to a certain level of oil dispersion efficiency. ⺠This method may provide a field operational tool to evaluate oil dispersion efficiency.
