Abstract
⺠We determined temporal changes of the impact of genetic toxicity caused by oil spill. ⺠We measured DNA damage in blood cell of striped beakperch in vitro. ⺠DNA damage reduced over 18-month period; sediments recovered quickly from oil pollution. ⺠Significant correlations between PAHs and DNA damage. ⺠Comet assay can be a useful tool as a biomarker in genetic toxicity of environmental monitoring.
