Abstract
⺠This study provides baseline data on trace elements in stone crabs from coastal South Carolina. ⺠Element concentrations differed by tissue, with higher levels in hepatopancreas and gill. ⺠Concentration differences for elements were related to collection site of stone crabs. ⺠Metal concentrations in the edible tissue, stone crab claw, were all below historical US FDA LOCs.
