Abstract
⺠Only methylmercury is responsible for Hg bio transference and magnification. ⺠The greatest biomagnification occurred at the bottom of the food web. ⺠It involved the transfer of methylmercury from the water column to plankton. ⺠Feeding habits and vertical trophic guild are important factors. ⺠They influence methylmercury accumulation, trophic transfer and biomagnification.
