Abstract
⺠Riverine sediments have higher concentrations of PCBs and BFRs than coastal waters. ⺠Proximity to point sources, TOC and hydrodynamic location are factors controlling their levels. ⺠Land based activities in areas such harbors, urban, commercial and industrial were the major sources. ⺠PCBs levels in polluted riverine sediments of the present study exceeded the sediment quality guidelines standards.
