Abstract
⺠The Rainbow Warrior, sunk off NZ in 1987, hosts a diverse temperate carbonate fauna. ⺠After 21 years, no evidence of wreck-based carbonate appears in surrounding sediments. ⺠The short life of a wreck on the sea floor means it will leave no lasting sedimentary record.
