Abstract
► The sedimentary impact of scallop dredging is modelled in the Firth of Lorn, Scotland. ► Dredge tracks lie adjacent to important reef habitats. ► Most of the sand-dominated sediment settles within tens of metres of the dredge track. ► Far-field levels of persistent, finer particles are low compared to the natural background.
