Abstract
⺠Metals were measured in barnacle, seawater and sediment from the eastern Aegean. ⺠Amphibalanus amphitrite has been chosen as a strong candidate for monitoring heavy metals. ⺠Barnacles accumulate Cu in a higher degree than both sediment and seawater. ⺠Inner of Izmir Bay especially harbour area is mostly affected by human activities.
