Abstract
⺠We compared impact of suspended mussel and infaunal clam farming. ⺠We examined changes in sediment features and nutrient fluxes in a coastal lagoon. ⺠Both species increase nutrient regeneration from sediment. ⺠Mussel farming increase organic carbon and nitrogen enrichment in the sediment. ⺠Mussel ropes also caused high nutrient regeneration directly within the water column.
