Abstract
⺠We measured organohalogen contaminants in blubber and fat from dead leatherbacks. ⺠We also assessed blood and eggs from nesting turtles in Florida, USA. ⺠Concentrations were significantly and positively correlated between fat and blubber. ⺠Egg concentrations were significantly and positively correlated with female blood. ⺠We confirm maternal transfer of compounds from nesting turtles to their eggs.
