Abstract
► Mangrove constructed wetlands purifies mariculture effluent sufficiently. ► The three mangrove species grow well under high salinity and continuous flooding. ► Avicennia marina and Lumnitzera racemosa are more tolerant to continuous flooding than Rhizophora stylosa. ► The presence of mangroves improves pollutant removal of microcosms.
