Abstract
⺠LAS toxicity varied among algal groups with green algae presenting the least sensitivity. ⺠LAS sorption on cells was rapid (steady state within 5 h) and Kss varied among algal groups. ⺠LAS depuration was rapid (a few hours) but a significant low LAS fraction was still sorbed after 24 h. ⺠Sorption isotherm presents a typical saturation pattern with differences among algal groups. ⺠LAS dose response toxic cell concentration illustrates polar narcotic effect.
