Abstract
⺠Ice and oil drift and spreading of oil in high ice coverage have been monitored. ⺠Oil drifted with the ice and remained contained between the ice floes. ⺠Measured low concentrations of dissolved hydrocarbons in the seawater (<5 ppb). ⺠Estimated hazard of dissolved oil implied that the acute toxicity was low.
