Abstract
⺠Bacterial adhesion and viability used for the screening of new non-toxic antifoulants. ⺠Commercial, natural and natural-derived products tested on five strains from biofilms. ⺠Commercial antifoulants TBTO and Sea Nine showed low EC50 but high toxicity. ⺠Non-commercial products showed anti-adhesion activities together with no toxicity. ⺠Strains had different response profiles strengthened the need to use several ones.
