Abstract
⺠The distributions of OCPs and PCBs residues in surface sediments were observed. ⺠Possible sources and risk assessment of OCPs and PCBs were identified in Izmir Bay. ⺠High concentrations of DDT in sediment were found in Gediz River estuary. ⺠All organochlorinated compounds are below the ERM and PEL values. ⺠Gediz River estuary and inner bay could be potential cause acute biological impairment.
