Abstract
⺠Different thyasirid species have vastly different ecological preferences. ⺠Thyasira sarsi and low biodiversity is a good indicator of organic enrichment. ⺠High thyasirid diversity indicate good environmental conditions. ⺠Thyasirids lacking symbiotic bacteria might indicate good environmental conditions.
