Abstract
▶ Flat sheet ECTFE membranes continuously TIPS-cast using dibutyl phathalate as the latent solvent. ▶ Morphologies produced ranging from isotropic to anisotropic with either dense or porous skin. ▶ Cooling rate determined to be the most influential parameter controlling morphology. ▶ Co-extrusion of diluent increased membrane mean pore-size and permeability. ▶ Uniaxial stretching increased membrane mean pore-size and permeability in a manner that suggests either increased porosity or pore connectivity.
