Abstract
⺠Coastal reclamation and modifications affect community structure of macrobenthic assemblages. ⺠Microcosm experiment is used to quantify the responses of three macroinvertebrates to mud burial. ⺠Mud burial caused mortality with varying degrees among the tested species. ⺠Ecological impacts of sediment burial on macrobenthic assemblages can be predicted.
