Abstract
⺠This study has demonstrated the successful polishing of sludge characteristics through elektrokinetics. ⺠To achieve better sludge characteristics, the electrical operating parameters should be optimized based on MLSS concentration. ⺠Intermittent exposure at low current density and voltage gradient was found a promising operating conditions. ⺠This study has illustrated the relationship between elektrokinetics and sludge characteristics. ⺠This study opened the door for promising applications of elektrokinetics in wastewater treatment.
