Abstract
⺠Bacterial diversity and antimicrobial resistance were examined in 3 mineral waters. ⺠MAR bacteria were found in every batch at counts up to 102 CFU mLâ1. ⺠Variovorax, Bosea, Ralstonia, among others, exhibited the highest multi-resistance indices. ⺠The same species isolated from different brands harbored distinct resistance patterns. ⺠Bottled mineral water is a potential source of antibiotic resistant bacteria to humans.
