Abstract
⺠Turbulent promoter (TP) has important effects on the cake properties. ⺠Cake thickness is greatly diminished and porosity is slightly increased. ⺠Cake particle size is undesirably decreased, increasing the specific resistance. ⺠Overall cake resistance is reduced by TP and thus permeate flux is enhanced. ⺠Cake properties are greatly influenced by operating conditions in both cases.
