Abstract
⺠Lake Na and Cl concentrations in least impacted watersheds in the AP are very low. ⺠Road salt has increased Na and Cl concentrations by about one order of magnitude. ⺠NYSDOT (state) roads are the greatest contributors to lake salinization. ⺠The contribution of state roads to salinization relates to distance from shoreline. ⺠Road segment to consider treating differently can be identified.
