Abstract
⺠Invertebrate taxa richness increased in high complex and stable habitats. ⺠Invertebrate taxa richness was not adversely affected by the organic pollution. ⺠Invertebrate abundance increased with the organic enrichment of the water. ⺠Communities from bank roots and leaf litter were the most affected by pollution. ⺠Communities from riffles were scarcely affected by the water organic pollution.
