Abstract
A new concept of polymer membranes filled with neodymium powder and magnetized (“magnetic membranes”) for an air enrichment, was applied. Membranes (mostly EC) with dispersed metal powder were cast in an external magnetic field of a specially designed coil (magnetic induction up to 0.04Â T). For final magnetization a strong field magnet of about 2Â T, was used. Experimental setup with a gas chromatograph for comprehensive measurements of the air separation properties, was used.
