Abstract
⺠We consider upscaling in heterogeneous porous media. ⺠Determination of upscaling conductivity is of wide interest. ⺠The scope is to elucidate a few issues of principle and to briefly discuss open questions. ⺠Limitations of current approaches are discussed. ⺠We point at open topics deserving further investigation.
