Abstract
ⶠObserved variability of winds near Kerala Coast on spatial and temporal scales. ⶠReversal of currents as wind speed reduces suddenly below 3 m sâ1 towards the coast. ⶠReversal of currents result an increase in local SST, comparable with TMI SST. ⶠExplained the currents in terms of local vorticity due to reduction of wind speed. ⶠNoticed time lag of a day between reduction in wind and reversal of coastal currents.
