Abstract
⺠Methane transport and loss terms estimated in dissolved methane plumes. ⺠We measured methane concentrations, oxidation rates, and current velocity. ⺠We quantified methane advection and turbulent diffusion as transport terms. ⺠We quantified sea-air transfer and microbial oxidation as loss terms of methane. ⺠The fate of methane was modeled suggesting microbial oxidation is the major sink.
